Tribute to Japan

Why do i felt soo disturbed by the recent Tsunami in Japan?

1) Because i have been to Japan before, back in 2003. Sweet memories :(

2) Because the ambassador of Japan to Malaysia, Mr Masahiko Horie sincerely donated MYR888.88 to my charity event last month. Japan is the only embassy who support my BFD event. Touched :( :(

2) Because i have friends in Japan. We used to mail each other and now i have no idea what happened to them :( :( :(

My prayers goes out to everyone in JAPAN. Amin.

Nota Kaki: Im getting better, MC for 3 days & now back to the office with all the workloads. Thanks for all the calls & concerns. You know who you are people :)

Bubble~~

Bubble tea!

DSC06995

Awesomest awesome bubble tea. Peppermint Oreo with Caramel Pudding from CZC.

CZC is like.. the promised land of bubble tea and since my first visit there, my bubble-tea world has been rocked so hard that it will never be the same again! Big thanks to Kei, who pointed me in the right direction at Sunway Mentari (horrendous location with eternal traffic jam outside its funnel-like entrances).

Now, CZC is a distributor, which is fantastic as it offers a simple no-frills beverage counter, with the rest of the outlet fully stacked with a dazzling array of bubble tea ingredients / products, warehouse-style without much interior jazzing-up. Prices are dirt cheap.

None of those commercialized crap like: Add RM0.50 for extra pearls. Or Add RM0.50 to switch to jellies. Nope. They are generous with pearls and jellies and are all interchangeable.

With more than 70 flavours to choose from, and an assortment of tidbits like pearls, jellies, exploding yogurt balls, multi-flavoured puddings etc, CZC is a place for multi-lemmas. The sky's the limit when it comes to bubble tea combinations. U want ice-blended? U got it. But wait... what kind? Fruit-based, with jelly? Tea-based with pearls? Oreo ice-blended? With caramel pudding? Which one? Save me!

I get such a headache each time i pop over.

Yam Oreo with Caramel Pudding & Peppermint Oreo with Caramel Pudding
The Oreo ice-blended tops my favourites list, especially the Peppermint Oreo. Oh my god it is divine. Mint, with crunchy bits of Oreo!! Pop in some silky caramel pudding and it's heaven in a sealed plastic cup. Yam is fragrant, but lacks the kick of peppermint.

This looks stunning, doesn't it? This is one of CZC's menu concoctions that i've taken a liking to. Coconut, vanilla and pineapple, which is essentially virgin pina colada... I told the lady to lay off the pearls, so instead she gave me a shower of colourful morsels including fruity-jellies, mango pudding and some sort of yogurt balls that pop in your mouth. Quite an explosion of flavours...

Note that none of my cups contain pearls. Because i simply detest them. Disgusting chewy things. Pah!

Some of my favourite flavours:

1) Artificial coconut flavour. I dunno about you but coconut is awesome. Baskin Robbin's coconut crunch? Awesome. Bounty? Awesome! But. Artificial only. Real coconut shreds sweetened with sugar, aka kuih-muih style are appetizing sometimes, but not my favourite.

2) Almond flavoured bubble tea. Now this is actually an acquired taste as some say it smells like cockroach pellets. The Indonesian girl who was taking beverage orders was taken aback when i asked for almond flavour. And she actually let me have a whiff of the noxious powder to deter me from ordering it. lol!

3) Peppermint. I mean, my friends say it tastes like toothpaste, but to heck with them. Mint and i go way back. =)

Anyway, now that CZC has appeared in my life, i find myself avoiding other small-fry bubble tea stalls as they simply can't compare, both in price and quality. Why settle for something mediocre when CZC sitting at the corner of Sunway Mentari? =)

Sup Ketam

Kita demam. Kena paksa pegi klinik. Sekali pegi. Baru duduk, doctor trus cakap. Muka awak merah. Buka baju. Haa satu badan semua bintik merah ni. Saya suspect awak kena DENGGI. Dah brapa hari demam?. Kita cakap 3 hari. Lambatnya pegi klinik!! Wuuu sadis kena marah dengan doctor. Doctor suh g hospital. Kita cakap tapela test darah dulu. Gila woo keje melambak kat opes, cemana kalau tibe2 kena tahan kat ward. Balik ruma, bitau mak. Terus mak beli ketam & balik awal. Mak masak sup ketam untuk kita. Katanya sup ketam bagus untuk denggi. Sedang baring2 dalam bilik sambil takut kalau kena tdo kat spital mlm ni, received a kol. Da lame ta berborak ngan orang yang jauh di Europe ni.... Yang peliknya dia selalu ade intuition na contact kita tanya khabar kalau kita tgh susah, sedey or sakit. Hebat kan dia. Selepas kita membebel keluh kesah ngan dia. Kita pon pegi hospital, dia pon kne pegi kelas. Thank you for listening Panda :) Good news, dia nak balik sini on June. Bad news, dia bukan balik Malaysia sebab dia bukan orang Malaysia tapi negara jiran. hehe

Nota Kaki: Kadang2 kita sendiri pon ta paham kenapa kawan kita sume kebanyakannya bukan orang Malaysia... Orang Malaysia sume tana kawan kita ke??

Kita da 2 hari demam, takut esok taley bangun je. Because kita jarang demam, but sekali kalau da demam memang terbaring melepek arr.. Tolonglah kuat sabya, 2 months left... Dah 2 days in a row makan Kenny Rogers. Pelik.

Katanya na berkawan, duk kat bukit tunku, engineer, umur 26thn... katanyala. Masalahnya aku ta dapat na trace dia siapa sebab dia pakai private number. Aku da geram, asyik kol je... Memang kena 5 biji la, berbakul jugak la kena ngan aku. Ingat aku cam pompuan laen ke, ayat sikit trus dapat. SORRY LA. Aku byk lg keje lain...Kalau setakat kau na mengorat aku pastu na sakitkan hati aku, NO THANKS. Bercinta? Not now. Sila amek nombor giliran dulu. Nanti mak ayah kita screentest. Oke. Bye.

Nota Kaki: Haruskah aku berlari ke pantai belok ke hutan?

Water

Plunged into another vivid dream this morning. And it was by far the most picturesque dream I've had thus far, and the most peculiar.

In my dream, some housing developer (i think it was SunRise) had constructed an elaborate water /ocean-themed amusement park. Its entrance was situated after the NKVE toll. I didn't have prior knowledge of this in my dream. And so i was driving on NKVE on my way to Subang, and i must've taken a wrong turn.

Next thing i know, i'm driving on a colossal lake, with a long, long sandy path for cars erected all across the lake like it was slicing it in half. The lake fairly shallow, about 1-2 meters deep, and had completely clear turquoise water. I took a peek into the water and was amazed to see groups of sandy-rock formations, and within it, corals. Clusters and clusters of coral, maroon-red in colour.

Such a breathtaking place isn't it? I never would have thought of such a... design. My creative juices must come squishing out when i'm asleep i suppose.

AAAnyway, back to the sand path. After a few minutes, the sand path steeped into a shallow trough, with lake water flowing over it. I guess the point was to have visitors' cars splash into the trough for dramatic effect. Except, when i was gonna splash, my car skidded and my front right tyre got stuck into the lake. 0_0! And i started to panic a bit as i didn't know where the hell i was.

And before i knew it, i was inside the park, and i managed to pack up my panic and shoved it to the back of my brain. I couldn't recall much about the park , but i do remember a nagging sense of urgency to find out where i was despite being mesmerized about the park. I also remember there was something like a circus zoo with grizzly bears in cages, rearing up on their hind legs.

Finally, i was back in my car, on the phone with my parents discovering that SunRise had an amusement park near NKVE.

And then i woke up, feeling completely bewildered. But... hmm..

Tsunami

Demam. Sore throat. Suara da jadi gay. 2 big events coming up next week. Penat amat. Oke ptg tadi, dapat berita tergempar. TSUNAMI. Trus kitorg secara berjemaah bkk CNN kat bilik Dato'. Subahanallah, maha kuasa Allah. Aku tgk sekejap je, ta sanggup seyh, Sedih :'( Dulu aku tgk citer tsunami ngan ex boypereng aku kat movie, ingat lagi betapa takutnya time tu, sampai aku geget bahu dia tapi siapa sangka skrg ni sekali Allah turunkan musibah yang jauh lebih dasyat dari apa yg movie tu interpret. Apapon aku tgh risau pasal Indo, diorg tgh red alert skarang *sigh..... Hopefully flight ta delay. Keep safe pumpkin.
