Woah!!

Today.. was a freaky day.

I went for community service at an old folk's home.

I drove mum's CR-V to Sunway College to supposedly rendezvous with my classmates, but ended up driving (and terrorizing) 4 of them, while 2 more followed behind (both, whom i assume, were vomiting blood throughout the journey).

The chaotic journey began with me, the car, Old Bean, Yeah Man, Kang Wei and Mojojoseph bouncing over the multitude of bumps that littered the roads leading to and fro Sunway College. Minutes later we were caught in a sickening traffic jam on the LDP, which was overflowing with cars. Old Bean, who was giving directions, led me on various roads I have and have not driven on until we reached Petaling Jaya's Old Town. Oh. And I got lots of horrified remarks during the car-ride, most of them from Old Bean. Stuff like "not so close to that treeee!!" and "chill, wei shiarn. chill" and "I’m gonna puke" and "don't go so close to the curb!" Was quite a nightmare.

The home GT Heritage Home was a truly elusive place. It is situated on 2/29. We went round and round in circles in that housing area in Old Town and found 2/27, 2/28, 2/30 but no 29… Eventually Old Bean got hold of some Sister Mary's number and she directed us to the home, which is just a bungalow with a little less than a dozen people residing in it.

2/29's entrace was partially barred by this awful rapist van and an old rusted cream-coloured Mini. Being the newbie driver I was, I couldn't get through the small gap. After much reversing and braking, I was stuck and blocked the route. So I employed the expertise of Kang Wei to deftly weave the car through the gap. And of course, during the process, the couple Yin Fan + Chow Lin following behind were repeatedly honked by annoyed drivers.

The person in charge of the old folk's home was this irritable woman whom i referred to as Miss Mdm Woman Lady and Leng Lui. Her name, we later discovered, was Audrey Santiago, and she told us to paint the walls at the rear part of the home. Bahh! I was expecting to have some insightful and pleasant conversations with kindly elderly people who would tell us about the horrifying WW2 and possibly the cruel Japanese during the Jap Occupation, or to have a refreshing game of chess with skilled old people, but no. We had to paint walls. Grotesque greying walls stuck with bits of green moss and lizard dung.

But I have to admit.. Painting is rather fun, even more so when you get to hear Kang Wei squealing every now and then for dripping paint either on his face, nose, or shirt. Eventually we managed to cover 3 walls and a stretch of drain cover (as in penutup longkang) and scored 3 hours of community hours.

!

Hardcore food overconsumption today. Let's see. What did i eat...

@ KLCC:

1 piece chicken chop + black pepper sauce + fries + grotesque mixed vege,
1 cup (regular, TGV standard) 100 Plus,
1 McDonald's chicken burger with lettuce and thousand-island-esque salsa sauce,
Approximately 14 triangles of Chacho's Cheesey Cheese nachos,
1 cup (large, TGV standard) Coke,
1 plate of divine Mdm Kwan Nasi Lemak (menge-store-kan lemak pada badan anda),
1 bowl of Mdm Kwan Cendol (which i think is sucky compared to those roadside stalls).

So after KLCC i went off to Zouk, in which i did not consume any food or beverages for about 3 hours. So when i got back to PJ, i pestered dad to bring me for supper!

@ Ming Tien Tmn Megah (all on dad! =D):

2 pieces of tissue-paper-thin Penang apom (thingy. not so sure about spelling),
Approximately 4 pieces of thicker Penang apom securing corn/banana,
1 pot of claypot chicken + 1cm² salted fish,
Approximately 1 gallon watermelon juice,
7 pieces of 锅贴 (pot stickers.. erm.. fried dumplings),
Half a piece of crunchy carbohydrate from dad's mee jawa.

@ Home:
1 piece of red bean bun (mistook it as chocolate bun.. -_-"),
1 piece of brazil nut.

Ah... Mm.. Food! Y'know. People really live to eat. Imagine life without nice food! Can u imagine a long life just to subsist on milk and bananas? and lettuce and tomatoes? Holy fuck. I'd rather die. Yes. Die instead of living in rabbit-food torturous hell! Die! Allow me to demonstrate.

Uwaaarghh!! Slit my wrist! Blood is spraying out! (hehe. my wrist. not my blood.)

Halloween

Was halloween yesterday. We were supposed to dress up in costumes but i had none. Initially i wanted to put on something multi-coloured in manner of rainbow boy (coz i had a rainbow-coloured pair of fans, and also a psychedelic slinky), but i couldn't find any colourful piece of clothing to match those accessories.. So in the end i brought a roll of black sugar paper to make a witch's hat.

Anyway, my witch's hat turned out to look more like a dunce cap.

Me (Dunce) with Kikilala the Fairy

Faris was dressed up like a complete military dude (he claims to be a terrorist..). Kikilala was a fairy, wearing some freaky wingy thingys. Kourosh came with a gorilla mask, and Lung² wore some grotesque rubber mask which was totally stinky.

During IB class, Colin suggested me to fold the dunce cap up a bit. Which i did, and in the process creased it up and bent it to the back to create a perfect wizard's hat! Voila!

Me (Wizard), Kikilala the Fairy, and Colin the Red Devil (notice he's wearing some fairy antennae but his horny red hair is like the devil)

Ms Woi was dressed up as a kinky nurse, with a small pink dress and white knee-length boots! And she came equipped with her little torture kit containing fake blood, which she drew on our hands. I poured a line of it across my wrist to appear suicidal. Man, i tell you. The fake blood looked real. LoL. Will ask her where did she get em.

She also made a fake Jack O' Lantern using newspapers, and gave us all treats.
=D Fun! I got some sorta Maltesers stuff. Nips or something.

Our class picture. I am behind trying to hex Shahin into a frog.

Another variation, with me attempting to jinx Kavitha into a raccoon =D

Ahh!

For the first time. I drove to Sunway College today. Unaccompanied. Wheee!

Would have been a better experience, but i was half-dead due to lack of sleep (1 hour sleep between 5.30 to 6.30).

Holidays

Sighs. Sighs. My holidays are coming to an end.

I spent the last 10 days in the most unproductive manner. I sat at home. I ate (subsisted mostly on milk, bread, peanut butter). I played games (and got KO-ed / GameOver-ed / my Head Pawned countless times), I slept. And i played more games.

I made some abortive plans with Nico to catch some movies.

I made some abortive plans with Siao Ming and Mojojoseph to so sth with the torturous IDC ISU.

and now there's something wrong with my body clock. For the past few days i've been sleeping at 4am, and waking up 11 hours later.

************************************
Things i have done "right" during the hols:

  • Managed to train my FF12 characters to level 23 (on average).
  • Convinced mum that, however beautiful they are, her lillies are actually smelly, not fragrant.
  • Went to gym 5 times (not merely to blow aircond and listen to headache-inducing trance music).
  • Managed to sleep a lot (to regenerate my body for the oncoming weeks of ISU onslaught).
  • Managed to celebrate mum's birthday.
  • Convinced dad that he has to buy flowers for mum eventhough she has her smelly lillies.
  • Managed to try Canadian 2-for-1 Pizza, which is not bad. Satisfactory.
  • Completed DHL Case Study for Yvonne Woi and submitted on time via Sunway Blackboard.
Oh that reminds me. Will be going to DHL for a study trip! Fun. The initial destination of San Francisco Coffee would have been much better, but who am i to complain eh?

Dad is completely against my choice of painting my new room black. -_-"
He's totally superstitious.. Hmm.. Best not to worry. Have 2 months++ break after CIMP to design my ideal room.

Now i have to focus on CIMP! and CIMP! S'good that WI has no ISU. Saves me some time. Phew

Aaaaargh!!

Final Fantasy 12 is driving me nuts! Throughout the game, i got Game Over-ed no less than 10 times! It requires so much training.. Vomit blood. Worst part is that they do not tell you that you need to train. One area you will find a bunch relatively weak monsters that you can kill will a few strikes. Then just one zone away, you get your ass kicked like no tomorrow, and Game Over! Baaa!!

Normally i get killed by bosses. But yesterday my entire party got wiped out by some normal creatures in the Stilshrine of Miriam. I was horrified and went to check for guides @ gamefaqs.com. Turned out i should have at least a base level of 30-35. But most of my characters are at 22-25. Holy crap ass!

Anyway, we went to celebrate mum's birthday at a seafood restaurant called Coconut Flower. Situated in some god-forsaken place i did not know how to go to, it sells a wide variety of tasty and delicious seafood. Truth be told, i really do not fancy seafood all that much. I don't have that zeal. Initially mum suggested that we go for hi-tea or something, so i got really excited and anticipated a visit to a beautiful and classy hotel. Unfortunately for me, mum went all emo and crazy and changed her mind in the last minute. Sighs.

Ah well. Coconut Flower wasn't all that bad lah... The place is quite atmospheric, with exuberant trees planted in the vicinity. Their salted chicken was divine. As was their Teochew Style steamed pomfret. And there was this absolutely fantastic salted egg prawn, which i did not consume (allergic to prawns. they make my lips swell like angelina jolie)...
T_T I Love Prawns!!! Oh god. Why punish me so? Sighs..
