Hairy
So after much drama and heart-wrenching (not to mention cruel) killing-off of characters, the boy who lived, lived escaped the deathly clutches of the wicked Lord Voldemort.
I think my reading experience would've been a pleasant one if i hadn't received news that Tesco and Carrefour were selling Hairy at a considerably lower price of 69.90.
FUCK Tesco and Carrefour.
FUCK the distributors for supplying Tesco and Carrefour. Hmph.
Anyway, a little update after my first week of classes in Monash University Malaysia's New Sunway Campus.
The new campus is fascinating and a damn sight nicer than the old one just across the street.
The cement-gray and beige walls give it a classy and futuristic look. Ha! Finally a building that isn't painted in garish salmon-orange.
Reminds you of a cross between a hotel and a shopping mall, doesn't it?
The library here is a triple-storeyed refrigerator. When you enter through the shiny glass sliding doors, there will be a rush of cold wind whooosh right in your face. Brrr. Freakishly cold. The chill seeps even into the washrooms on each storey (necessity of washrooms on each level unexplained mystery). Book collection here not on par with Sunway College's library i admit, but i suppose it will expand in time. I also came across a small section of DVDs. Hmm.
Library computer lab's computer are new! Y'see this is the plus side of a new campus. New stuff! Vandalism-free. Unfortunately number of computers are limited. Sighs. High demand but low supply. Was scouting around for people to leave and managed to beat a wantan to a seat. Pah.
Anyway the cafeteria is a disaster. Only a pathetic selection of food to choose from, and pathetic amounts of food that last till noon after which none are left for late comers. Oh well. I guess nothing is perfect.

BP factory in Whiting, Indiana
Lately, you must have heard stories about the BP Whiting Refinery which most of you are not quite happy with. But BP has got some information which you might not know. Please allow me to explain it further as BP is only striving to minimise the environmental impact of their actions.
Just recently, the Chicago Tribune ran an article about a BP Factory in Whiting, Indiana and misrepresented some important facts.
BP plans to spent some $3 billion to modernise the plant to create energy security and diversity for the benefits of the people in Indiana. BP will give the assurance that only treated water will be flowed into Lake Michigan within legal limits to ensure that it won't harm the people or the environment.
And for the sake of continuous improvement, the Whiting Refinery voluntarily reduced total suspended solids in its water discharge by 40%. For your peace of mind, the federal, state, local officials, regulators, community and environmental organizations will be working very closely with BP to ensure a proud and promising future e.g. there will be fuel for the people in Midwest and unlimited job opportunities in BP.
