Introducing Celebrity Fitness, Gurney Plaza, Penang - PART 1
Now, it's been quite a hiatus since I last post my blog, and that was indeed an amusing video that I had posted ages ago. Being a busy person that I am, writing a blog daily seems rather an upheaval task to undertake, since we are all working 8 to 9 hours a day, and by the end of the day, one might have some activities after work, such as attending Toastmasters Club meeting like what I have been doing today. But never mind, whatever the circumstances that may be, or tired as I may feel, I still painstakingly come over to Starbucks here (some miles away from my rented home) and blog the rest of the night away. Here we go, something different from what we have previously; so, instead of just writing words, words and more words all the way, might as well we see some differences here. Picture blogs, yes, that's what I call plogs, or piclogs, so what about it?

Hack
Hack hack! I am having an extremely irritating cough + running nose combo. Plus, i lost my voice this morning when i woke up. Imagine the shock of suddenly becoming a proud owner of a sexy husky voice. Bleargh.
I bet it's all the fried foods i've had these few days. Let's see. Two days ago i ate like 20 pieces of fried wantan (addictive, very) + some fried fish paste spring rolls, those that you can find in yoong tau foo shops + 1 whole packet of Lay's (addictive, very) + Big Apple's donuts (addictive, gets cloying after a few).
*speaking of Big Apple donuts.. i just got back from there. The 1u outlet is open, baby! And it's just right outside the gym entrance, like omg. People, you have GOT to try the Duren Duren, which is simply fucking divine. Orgasmic does not do it justice. The filling is not too thick yet not too light with a rich aroma of durian perfectly folded into it. It's like you've died and have gone to heaven. If stuff like this is found in heaven then it explains why angels are all portrayed asfat rotund.*
*Btw duren duren is not recommended for those who are durian intolerant (most unfortunate). As for those who pretend to hate durian to appear a little bit more foreign i'll say this to you: go fuck urself, and after that, try duren duren.*
So there. I've brought this upon myself. Which is why i spent the whole day drinking herbal tea, and glugging cough syrup and overdosing on Fisherman's Friend and eating vege-laden dishes. Retribution is just not fun, isn't it?

Tomorrow I'll be venturing out of my PJ comfort zone into the slightly confusing (not to mention chaotic) traffic of KL. Am popping over to Low Yat plaza to find my iPod modulator as Joseph has suggested and to get a price quote on a desktop. Yes! dad has finally agreed to get me a new desktop. He initially came up with a preposterous idea that he and i pay 50/50, but after much wheedling, i have *tentatively* managed to persuade him to foot the entire bill. The PC fair is in town this weekend, and in my opinion it can't have come in a better time. Just when i want to buy a desktop. Impeccable timing, wouldn't you say?

Apple!
Sis n i went to Big Apple Donut @ The Curve on Tuesday to buy, well, donuts.
Note that it was a Tuesday, a weekday, so it is customary that shopping malls have fewer people bustling around on weekdays. But it did not stop a throng of Big-Apple-donut-crazed people (including sis, excluding me coz i've never eaten Big-Apple donuts before) from lining up outside the outlet.
Here it is! The oulet, with neat rows of donuts waiting to be purchased and gobbled! I steered clear of the queue as there was this obnoxious woman with ugly elephant motifs on her blouse who kept giving me some sorta "one-kind" perasan look as if i wanted to take a picture of her.
Ding dong! 1 dozen of freshly baked donuts! Reminds me of those american cop shows in which the pot-bellied cops always have a box of donuts.
Hohoho! *greedy-beady eyes* Donuts! Big Apple trumps Dunkin' Donuts. No contest there. V. delicious donuts: its outside slightly crunchy, the inside warm and soft. Arrrgh!!!
Perhaps the most delicious one, in my opinion, was the almond flake one (leftmost column). Just divine! The almond flakes were marvellously thin and extremely crispy. Oh. Heaven! The mochacino (1st column 2nd row) and oreo (3rd column 1st & 2nd row) were pretty good too.
Now i wouldn't really recommend the green tea one as the green tea taste, while detectable, was not strong enough to offset the taste of the dough. Same thing goes for the mango tango fandango one. Mango taste just too subtle.
Big Apple has a much broader range of donuts than those featured here. They have those jammy types which i don't really fancy.
It's best that you don't see the staff dunk the donuts in oil to fry so that you don't get turned off. I saw the process and that was probably why i didn't enjoy the donuts more than i could have. Brrr. The freakin calories!! I have to jog for 10 mins to burn off half a donut. Still that did not stop me from sinking my teeth into them.
Best way to reach Big Apple's at the curve is to park at the Street. It's situated just behind friday's. There's also one opening soon in 1 utama which will definitely attract throngs of people.
