Punch
Watched Punch-Drunk Love in film studies on Monday.
It turned out to be a pretty entertaining movie. Adam Sandler's performance was unexpectedly brilliant. He plays this lonely, lonely guy Barry whose life is punctuated with fits of rage (Barry once destroyed a washroom, tearing off the cubicle doors and wrenching out the liquid soap dispensers). His conversation with the phone-sex chick was freakin' hilarious.
The only drawback in this movie was its fucking sound editing. They incorporated loads and loads of ridiculous noise within the movie. And i watched it on a day when i only had 30 mins of sleep the night before so i was tremendously irritated, so much so that i was gripping the little table of the Plenary Theatre seat, wanting to whack someone. Just watch it and u know what i mean. Fucking annoying.
Annoying noise aside, Punch-Drunk Love is worth watching. Just watch it on mute, perhaps? Subtitles!

Morning!
Whoo-hoo! It's 7:12 a.m. right now and am feeling great. :D Just woke up, so i think i can squeeze in a little post here.
Both my media studies and film studies tutorials have been canceled today (2 days of classes a week, ain't that D-vine?), but i'm popping over to hand in my assignment and to play basketball with Brown Bear's mechanical ppl. XD

About the assignment, it was supposed to be due on Monday but apparently during the previous lecture, right after he said "class is over" and i rushed off, he said "oh wait wait. the assignment will be postponed to wednesday". I didn't hear. I had it done by Monday.
But never-dee-mind, coz i managed to discover some mistakes to my answers. Now i have decided to take back whatever rubbish i said about Mr Mootee as he is a fantastic lecturer who dishes out assignment answers like free food for the poor.
We had this question about housing. If a hurricane came and destroyed lots of houses, what happens? It's kinda confusing, if u ask me. Does demand rise, coz ppl's houses are all destroyed and once they claim insurance they can afford a new roof over their heads? Or does supply fall, coz houses are, well, destroyed. Do you illustrate either, or both? Long run, short run?
Initially i tried to ask my tutor, Val, in a cunning circuitous manner but he refused to tell me the answer. So fine lor. When i asked Prof Mootee he was like "supply shifts la. neh, like the hurricane?" and i was majorly taken aback for such a direct answer. So the answer was pretty simple. Supply falls. And i guess i was just over-analysing the question...

Uwargh! I can't sleep. It's 4.40 and i have a freakin' 8-6 schedule tomorrow. Am so dead. Dead dead dead. Gotta bring lots and lots of coffee.
Hubert from Consumer Behaviour asked us to stay back to fix the ridiculous tutorial activity due Tuesday, which means i can't escape at 5 p.m. as usual. Bah! My prediction: stuck in traffic for at least an hour. Let's see whether am right or not.
Am suddenly craving for these extremely thick and rich soups, such as Friday's mushroom soup, or Chili's broccoli cheese. Hmm. I won't say no to the tostada chips with the fantastic beef queso, either. Oh-lala. God am feeling hungry. And this is happening at 4.47 a.m. Horrendous.
I've been food-blog hopping and i've seen really impressive reviews of KL's Cafe Cafe. Sis's been there and raved about everything. Hmm! Hmm! Hmm!
Off to sleep now~
