Bleh

So. First week of class. Nothing too foreign here, since i've been through 5 semesters.

Case studies in international trade. Finally, i encountered the legendary Michael Yap and my, does he ooze intelligence. He seems major smart, and slightly too fast for me as he whizzes over the basics while i stare, like a dungu, into nothingness. Have got to reinstall my basic econs. Sigh.

I was expecting Grace Lee to be like Auntie Soo. Middle-aged, grey hair, menopausal but with more sense of style but nah.. Grace Lee turned out to be much younger, and bore a freakish resemblance to Miss Woi of CIMP. Grace Lee has a weird pronunciation of certain words such as... anythingk, warningk, questiont etc etc.

But i had a quick glance at the syllabus for labour econs. Grace assures us that it's really easy. And i might think so. Add that to the easy assignment questions and the fact that this is a new unit, i think this will be my ticket to another HD! Or D, at least.

Adrian Liew, of marketing strategy, was brilliant. He has this booming deep voice and will continuously emit this nasal "hnnngh" sound to sorta reinforce what he's saying. "When you go outside, it's all about presentations, hnnngh." Ok i don't know how to alphabetize that sound, but it's sorta a cross between "hnnngh" and "harrrr".

Anyway i managed to escape the clutches of Yunus Ali for this semester! Hurrah! But i guess Yunus is the frying pan and now we're facing the fire. His replacement, Pn Nor, is quite a tough nut. She speaks fluent english, without any fake accent (unlike a certain bouncing fishball we know) and is super ganas at dishing out work. She gave us an empty unlabeled map and asked us to identify all the countries on it. Geez!

I will attend Adrian's and Grace's class as they're middle-of-the-day lectures. Michael's and Nor's lectures however... Urgh.
