Calo

Gah. Am feeling very much under the weather. It first started out as sorethroat, and then evolved into a cold and a sickening cough. It's those irritating singular coughs, which is not as bad as a violent throat-tearing coughing fit, but it gets to you after a while, especially if coupled with a constantly streaming nose...

Anyway.. Am almost recovered. Have got wads and wads of incredibly viscous mucus / phlegm caught in my nose / throat. Pesky, but at least some indication that i'm recovering.

Sigh.

I think i am destined to fail at any attempts to lose weight / become fit like rock golem or similar.

Sigh. I guess i have no one but myself to blame. Lack of discipline... My greatest weakness.

THEN AGAIN, right. Sometimes it cannot be helped! Each time, when the blue moons came, and i was suddenly all pumped up with this steel resolve to exercise like crazy, something would happen to send my plans crashing into oblivion.

Like, right now. I've lost 2-3kgs! Not bad, right? Been going to the gym. But cough and sorethroat and cold came along and disrupted my plans. Oh and not to mention the horrendous backache...

Must persevere!

I love the new range of treadmills and striders that arrived in the gym approx. a month ago.

In addition to having individual TV screens attached, it has iPod and USB support.

And since mine's an iPod video, all videos (i've only got 1 video... fucking iTunes wiped out my library) inside can be played on the TV screens. And since i discovered that i could jog longer if i'm distracted, watching a 45 min video while jogging means 45 mins of jogging! Fantastic.

Maybe i'll load them into my pendrive.

My results. Mediocre, yes. But 30 mins, baby! Such an achievement.

On the strider, this time.

More calories burnt on the strider, but it doesn't really train stamina...

Still... 274-374 calories... Frickin McDonald's burger has 500+ calories. + fries... Major disaster. Will need to jog an hour to burn 1 McValue Meal.
