KO!

Bleargh. Final Fantasy 13... Evil, evil game. I think i must have set a personal best, in terms of number of Game Overs. Infuriating! I have never died quite so often in previous FFs.

I must have lost count, but i know the number should be approx. 40+. Coz last week, i died 6-7 times in a row being tail-slapped to death by a bunch of vicious watery reptiles.

And so i tried another strategy: 1 tanker + 2 healers, then switching 1 of them healers to commando to take a quick slash at one of them, then quickly changing back to tanker + 2 healers. Rinse and repeat. Took me agesssssss to kill them.

Frickin Chapter 11. You see. Chapter 1 - 10 is pretty much smooth sailing on crystal clear water. Just follow the storyline, kill all compulsory enemy fights and you get enough experience to max out all available skills and stats at that time. Easy peasy.

Then. Once you reach Chapter 11, your sailboat reaches the frickin rapids.

Monsters become much much harder (read: slimy watery lizards) to kill. I've spent hours and hours traipsing all over completing quests, slaying monsters, doing some serious level grinding. Am now hunting for materials to upgrade my equipment, and then i'll be off!

30th Anniversary Mak Ayah

Yesterday is my parents 30th Anniversary. Since they attend a wedding last nite, they celebrated it today. They had a dinner together. They want me to tag along but i gave a lot of excuses to decline, tanak la aku kaco daun kan... So just now they came back & bought me fish&chips from Manhattan. I ate like a hungry zombie. Last nite i went to ss15 alone craving for the best burger in town at 11:45pm. Almost 1am i went to Radi, bought charkueyteow & again eat alone by myself at the stall itself. This evening i bought 1500ml of fresh soy bean & drink it all by myself. I dont know wut is happening to my eating habits. Im aware dat some of my close frens call me up n asked if i need a company but all i can say, at the moment i just want to be alone, n all i need is FOOD to keep me on-going... Life is hard... :(

In addition to throbbing temple and aching knee, i now sport a sprained ankle. Injured left knee, sprained right ankle. What the fucking fuck?

How to distribute my weight now? Was sitting down after the sprain, and when i tried to stand up... i stretched my left leg, pain. stand up on my right leg, pain.

Worst combo ever.

Am waiting for the pain to set in tomorrow morning. Bah.

Bah. My temple got hit by a jumping elbow just now during basketball.

Wtf. I went @_@ for a while. Now my head hurts whenever i clench my teeth together, or bite something. Sigh. Sports injury.

Not fun at all. Oh and i injured my knee too, and it didn't look and feel too hot so i went to this physiologist who seemed to possess powerful inner Chi! He finger-clawed my knee, and twisted it here and there, all the while inhaling and exhaling real loud like a bull or similar.

Yesterday was lyke my first time tasting my boyf cooking. His mom does not feeling very well since last few days maybe cause by his bro hectic wedding. So on yesterday, friday evening after my mandarin class, i came to visit. I saw his mom lay down on the couch. So then he ask me "syg da makan?" Me answered, "tadi bli bihun tapi ta sedap, i buang ". Then he said "Jom la makan, i masak arini". I was lyke "serious...... tpula.." Heading to dapur i saw lauk sardin n ikan cencaru goreng. Me, "u masak ni?" "Yela.." he said... I was kinda ragu-ragu bcos the sardin looks soo yummylicious. You know sardin is kinda of cheap food that can turn out soo bad and can turn out soo heaven depends on the cooks..


As far as im concern he cant cook. Before we ate, dengan nada manja "syg, tlg buat sotong goreng tepung..." he seriously did bought the calamari n kentucky flour for me to fried.. sabo jela.. After fried for a second, we ate. The sardin looks yummy but i still ragu-ragu, dlm ati mesti ta sedap, cik niazha masak megi pon tatau. The rice was ok.. thou he told me before that he dont know how to cook rice.. mase duk uma bujang tyme study dlu pon ari2 mkn kedai.
I taste the sardin... and turn out sedap gile! Cukup la manis, pedas, masam , manis, bawangnyer, siap ader belimbing besi lagi.. tapi aku control macho jela, when he asked i was lyke, hurm ok ok je.. After his newphew came back from school, aku korek rahsia la.. "Syami btul ke cik jiji yg msk sardin ni?" syami said "a'ah.... sedap.." i was lyke "tpula.." then syami "btul cik jiji msk sedap, smlm pon die msk"


Long sigh... mamat ni pandai msk rupanya.. patutla he cant stop complaining everytime we dine in at every single restaurant... Baguslah, pasni cik jiji masak hari-hari ok? Teringat mase the first time he taste my cook, "spagetti bolognese" wif flashy eyes he said "its rare to find girls who can cook nowadays...." Btul la ckp org, we will never stop knowing our spouse. Orang yang da kawen bertahun kawen pon blum tentu knal pasangan die and through the years still masih expore perangai pasangan masing2. I learn new things bout him today :)


Neway dis week sgt happeeee. Asaimen IMS yg pake software Macromedia Directortu da ciap!. Na tau betape complicatednyer software ni cubelaa try...Seyes ta tdo 2 mlm buat. And the end result was superb. I know i can do better, its just the lack of time ditambah ngan pendrive dirasuk virus, which makes i have to start all over again. We have to choose a place and do a tourism commercial for 7 mins. Again silakan bkk Macromedia Director kalo na tau betape complicated prosesnya.. na wat seminit pon mkn sejam kalau na yg berkualiti tinggi la. And guess what, im proudly choose MUAR wif a zapin background music. Alhamdulillah it turn out so well during the presentation. Another good news, I got highest in a Marketing test with the two combined class! my HR paper turn out so well... And i managed to answer fluently in mandarin oral test. Ta sia2 aku bersengkang mata. Seriously im gonna hit da track this sem! DL DL DL DL. Insyallah. Wish me luck!

Final Fantasy XIII!!!!!



God. I've been lusting over FF13 for god damn ages and when i found out that it was already released in Malaysia it felt like i got socked in the gut.

I knew the English version would be released on the 9th, but anticipated some delay of stocks coz, y'know, Malaysia, and films come 3-4 months later in the cinema bla bla so and so. But no! Socked in the gut.

Tada!

Drew knew this guy at Connaught and got it for me at 168! Market price, now, is around 195 - 210. So, it's a steal. Need to belanja Andrew minum teh. xD

Nabbed Mum's LCD TV!

Stunning graphics. Just stunning.

Can't say the same about the game content though wtf. Or gameplay. Battle system's quite a thrill. Too thrilling, at times. Super fast paced, and the slightest neglect in healing could easily result in KO.

Oh. And if main character dies = Game Over. WtF. I got slapped in the face with Game Over for more than 10 times, and counting.

Will comment further when i'm done with the game.

P.S. I hate what they've done to Shiva. Shiva's a gorgeous ice queen, damn it, not a motorbike! Argh.

Famous Thai latest branch, baru bukak di C4 Subang Jaya. ta sampai sebulan bukak. Merupakan fav restoran fam kami sejak 5 years back. Setahun 12x mesti g shah alam tuk mkn kat rest ni. Small fam gath tuk clbr8 along n sgmk balik uma. Konklusinya saya sayang sangat family saya FULLSTOP

It's official. I'm a quitter. And a smart one at that. It's always smart to fold when your cards aren't looking too good.

So Gordon offered me a job back at CNX, but a considerably different one from my previous telemarketing stint.

The new CNX office at Menara UOA is magnificent. I was stunned when i arrived. There was a shiny aquarium at the completely white reception. Dory and Nemo swimming inside amidst anemone. Interior was immaculate with rows of desktops. And glass partitions. Oh and a glass room as the telemarketing call center. Damn canggih.

OK. Anyway. I joined the RHB team with a bunch of really friendly Indian (descriptive, not racist) colleagues who gave me some training since they'd been to the training whereas i overslept and ditched it instead. So what i'm supposed to do.

a) Call list of prospects to register for an account with RHBInvest (lots of funky advantages and perks la).
b) If they agree, the trouble starts.

In order to register, you need to submit

i) Photocopied IC
ii) Pay slip / 3 mths of bank statement
iii) Application forms.

Application forms, a whole butt load of them, some of which require multiple multiple signatures, some sneakily situated on hidden pages. So this butt load of Application forms (AF), will be sent via courier to the recipient, to be completed, and collected by courier back to our office.

Now, for us employees, each successful AF completion, sent, filled in, signed etc and delivered back to the office is considered a successful transaction. Each transaction nets us RM7.50. If you can secure more than 50 transactions, pay is doubled to RM15 each.

This provides a hassle-free situation for the customers, but chaos for the team.

Now. The courier operates in a specific way.

Day 1, afternoon. Courier collects AF from CNX.
Day 2, morning. Courier delivers AF to customer.
Day 2, afternoon. Courier collects AF to customer.
Day 3, morning. Courier delivers AF back to CNX.

PLUS, the courier collects AF at 2pm. So any orders after 2pm will be delayed to the next day. So.

Day 1, afternoon. Courier misses AF.
Day 2, afternoon. Courier collects AF.
Day 3, morning. Courier delivers AF.

Major delay.

i) Idiot customer forgets IC despite gentle reminder
ii) Idiot customer forgets payslip / bank statement despite gentle reminder
iii) Idiot customer screws up application formS, sign wrong, fill in wrong, didn't sign etc.
iv) Idiot customer is not at home despite gentle reminder

Each mistake is enough to make you claw out your hair. Imagine getting the AF back it's not perfect. You have to resend, and that'll take another day to send. And so on and so forth.

Speaking of gentle reminders. For each transaction, we are to make 4 phone calls, if the customer is sufficiently seng mok and not idiotic and not fucked-up (aiya, i driving. call me back later. aiya, i in meeting. call me back tomorrow).

a) Hi sir/miss. Wanna register? Will call you one day in advance to let you know time courier will come.
b) Hi uncle/auntie. Courier will come tomorrow morning between 9-11. Pls get your documents ready
c) Hi ah pek / ah sou. Have you received the AF. You need to fill in this this this and this and sign that that that and that. Don't hesitate to contact me if you have any queries.
d) Hi. We've received your application. Your account is now active.

U know how tedious ah. Like i mentioned.

All the. Aiya, i driving, in meeting, having lunch... Excuses and will delay our operation till after 2pm, and hence delay courier delivery and hence delay sales. Grrrr!!

Now. For the big shiny cherry on the sundae, the RHB team has to answer incoming calls from bloody users who call in for loads of reasons. Need to answer calls. Need to call 4 times. Need to arrange all AFs to be sent out. Ki siao.

I'm working part-time, and i go to work from 9-2 max. Definitely not adequate to perform these tasks. PLUS! Now that sis has taken the car, i have no transport which means. She'll drop me at Kelana Jaya LRT, i'll commute to Bangsar. Then back to Kelana Jaya to shuttle bus my way back to 1U, then only walk / cab home.

Balance out pros and cons?

Pros: I earn money. I get to work in fantastic environment.
Cons: High workload/salary ratio, a.k.a. work a lot, lousy pay. No transport. High number-of-worker/number-of-customer ratio, as in high competition for customers.

No brainer la. And so, now you know why i quit.
