Check-up

I went for a semi-medical check-up today. I'll be going on a 21-day pseudo-tour to Taiwan at the end of the year. "Study tour" is what they call it, with food and accommodation subsidized by the Taiwanese government.

Problem is they only pick 300 people out of all the applicants, which is why am filling up the details of my application, and a health check is one of the requirements. Simply chest x-ray for TB, and blood test for hepatitis B.

Honestly i haven't had blood drawn out of my arms before. Not that i can recall. The only time that happened was in 1998 during my 3 week stint in the hospital, and that wasn't even from my arm. It was from my leg. And i was 9. And i wailed like a girl. I remember the doctor said i was damn manja. Aihz.

So after Dr Chan successfully (wasn't that easy, OK) located my vein and was getting ready to stick me, i was bracing myself for some sort of sensation. And.. then it was over. I didn't feel anything. Not even an "ant bite" sort of itsy bitsy pain. Pro ass doctor. Must've perfected her needle mastery over the years.

Now that it's over, my forearms / biceps feel slight bruised. Hmm.
