Hello peeps! Am back from Singapore! :)
Trip got off to a bad start when i discovered that my flight had been cancelled! -_-"
Flight was supposed to be at 8.20a.m. Next replacement flight was at 2.20p.m. So we bummed around the LCCT.
Sleeping on the uncomfy plastic seats resting my legs on a trolley.
Tiger Airways. The finger. Just for you.
So we waited in the LCCT for more than 6 hours. LCCT people operating the Tiger Airways booth (i word it like this because they denied any affiliation with Tiger apart from operating the check-in booth and acting as the middleman / messenger) did give us a meal voucher at the Taste of Asia and it sucked balls. -_-"
Stupid place. Taste of Asia kononnya... Bad Taste of Asia more like! I tell you luckily it's free disgusting food.
The more pressing issue then was whether or not we could transfer our Universal Studios tickets to another day as it closes at 7p.m. Given our estimated 3.20 arrival time + travel time to hotel + travel time to Sentosa, we would only have less than 2 hours to cover the entire theme park.
Luckily the Universal Studios customer service was top notch. Simply excellent. The staff, chippy girls dressed in bellboy uniforms, were very helpful and had smiles plastered on their faces while they processed our ticket transfer. They gave us a ticket for Sunday even though it said "tickets were sold out". My ass la sold out. Sure got discretion one. :) And we got it.
Travel Lesson #1: Always leave your first day as R&R day with flexible schedules to anticipate any inexplicable flight delays / cancellations.
We're newbies la... Have got to thank Jeanne and Jocelyn for their efforts in planning.
Travel Lesson #2: Never go on a trip when you have low stamina / weak ankles / overweight. My feet were screaming agony. I know why S'poreans are so frickin' thin. They walk. A lot. And they stand. And walk somemore. I must have walked 75% of the time when we went sight-seeing and to Universal Studios.
More pics to come. Have to get some from Jeanne.
