!!!

Holidays are turning out to be boring as ever! And to prove it, i went out for late-lunch-early-dinner (lunner? or dinch?) with Dad. Normally i would've stayed at home and played games. But after a week of hardcore gaming, i needed a break. So we ended up at Jarrod and Rawlins (Purveyors of Fine Food and Wine) at Sri Hartamas. Jarrod and Rawlins is a unique restaurant as they let you select what you want to eat, and how much you want, anything from a piece of ham to twenty sausages. They have this whole range of meats from which one gets to choose. Hams, bacons, sausages, steaks.. Whatever. And those displayed are raw. After you make the order, the people in charge will sizzle them into perfect, juicy and succulent pieces of food that will satisfy even the most intense of carnivorous cravings. Mmm.. Oh. And they charge a RM10 for sizzling the food, so.. it's wise to select all you want in 1 go. Asking them to cook only 1 piece of sausage for 10 bucks is stupid.

So. Dad and I shared this platter of extremely fattening, but nevertheless appetizing sausages and bacon. 7 pieces of sausages in total. 1 freaky dunno what cranberry thingy, 4 spicy chili sausages, and 2 chili dynamite sausages (flaming. tsssss. stuffed full of cili padi!). I also ordered two tiny pieces of streaky bacon and 2 pieces of shoulder bacon. Just to try. The platter came with a bowl of creamy mashed potatoes and mustard (which i did not touch). The restaurant was stacked full with wine. Wine. and more Wine!! There was a whole rack of wine there. And i think we were the only ones there lame enough to be eating food. The rest of the patrons ordered wine. Saw this ang moh woman sipping gracefully at a glass. Another man and his friend were inhaling wine-fumes indulgently. @_@" Bleargh. Anyway. After that loaded lunch, i will eat only salad for dinner tonight. =) Mum made me one for lunch but i was still asleep.

And speaking of sleeping till past lunchtime. My body clock has gone haywire as usual. It's customary for me to stay up till the wee hours of the morning during holidays. It's great, not having to wake up early in the morning, all groggy-eyed and nauseated. But then.. I slept at 9 this morning. A.m. Stayed up the entire night reading novels. At 9, after flipping through more than 600 pages of paper and minute printing of words, i felt groggy-eyed and nauseated. X( And i fell into a dead sleep swirling with confusing dreams of cars being dented, people laughing and cellphones running out of credit.

Rain!

To further dampen my holidays spirit is the rain. I mean c'mon! It's practically pissing with rain everyday. As i type out my words here on Blogger, there is a colossal storm raging outside with streaks of rain hammering on the awnings, whooshing wind uprooting plants, thunder booming so loud that my roof is rattling and lightning threatening to sizzle my modem into one of Jarrod & Rawlin's sausages. Terrible. I have better turn off my comp now. A thunder-struck modem is gonna add a load of misery to my holidays.

Oh and as a small p.s. Ron is back! Sis went to fetch him earlier this morning. Hehe. S'been a long time.
