Instant!

This is, IMO, the most fantastic instant noodles ever.

Beef noodles. Spicy! Mum ordered a few cartons of these when she visited Taiwan last year. And i love !

Been meaning to write this entry a long time ago, but i kept forgetting to take pictures before i gobbled the noodles up. Too scrumptious to stop and take pictures. Hmm! Not bad kinda slogan.

一度赞红烧牛肉泡面, 绝对让你忘了拍照片! XD XD

Judging by the packets of MSG-bin-laden condiments and flavourings inside, this bowl of noodles isn't the healthiest choice there is. Probably will kill me in the long term, but who can resist short term pleasures?

First packet is this brownish paste thingy which is extremely salty. Wtf. I actually tried eating some of it undiluted and it was nasty. But it tastes fine with water added.

Brrr! Chilli paste. This is responsible for the spiccccy explosiveness within this bowl. Very spicy. And spicy is good!

Then there is the typical dried vege stuff, with a bunch of seasoning powder.

And, finally, the fourth packet. This is the reason why this bowl of beef noodles is different and superior to any other typical instant noodles.

Beef. Tightly sealed in the air-tight and opaque packet above so it minimizes exposure. Ooh-lala. Real chunks of beef. Swimming in this thick gravy. Divine. Just divine. I've tried pork noodles as well, with pieces of pork instead of beef and it was not too bad either. :D Just pour everything together and u will get this:

Instant noodles, anyone?

I'm not sure whether you can find them here, but they're everywhere in Taiwan, mostly sold in the ubiquitous 7-11s (freakin' loads of 7-11. at least one every other block).

Comparatively speaking, 7-11s in Taiwan trumps those in Msia. They have this enormous variety of beverages (and instant noodles! fabulous instant noodles), most of which have celebrities' faces (Jay Chou/Jolin) plastered on them. I once bought this box of Pringles with Jay Chou on it. :D

They also have this heated shelf for hot beverages in the winter but i don't really care much for hot drinks.
